About the Event
Local art activist, Trisha Gupta (www.trishaart.com) is parterning with VisArts to unveil a large woodblock printing project outdoors in downtown Rockville on August 19th.
After collecting accounts from local immigrants and running events around the state (in partnership with Amnesty international) the artist is building a literal table. This longer table will have imagery and words carrved into it that have been collected from local immigrants about their immigrant journey. Participants for this event will be taught how to put ink on the block and will print the surface to create posters. The event is free and open to the public.
